Downtown Boston //

Sometimes the perfect way to unwind and rejuvenate requires being a tourist in your own city, your mom and a camera.

Today, we adventured our way through the Boston Common, came across a rally in front of the Statehouse, got in our leg workout through the steep inclines of Beacon Hill, and worked our way back via Newbury Street and the Boston Public Garden.

Exploring Boston is always a good time, and despite the cold weather the city never fails to be beautiful and offer some inspiration. I am consistently amazed that even though Boston is constantly bustling, there is always a sense of calm as well. It is easy to take a step back and just soak in your surroundings. Or in my case, stand in the middle of – multiple – streets and look around at all of the people and tall buildings.

“With all of the sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy” – Max Ehrmann
